What is defensive driving?

Defensive driving is for all different individuals. It’s from P-plates or people who have violated the law and have been ordered to take defensive driving training. The drivers will be put through practical driving as we as theory on the road. This is really good for the young drivers, but also for all who want to get better at their driving skills. The course is done in a way to make the person feel comfortable and to encourage them to get involved in the session.

The session in not to drive fast or to put people in danger, but to learn to behave behind the wheel. This will cover techniques, attitude and also vision, in order to correct the way one drives. Before this takes place, breaking will be covered first and then out on the road for testing. There will be a session which will talk about tyres, and also the cars dynamics and controls. After that there  is a mixture of different exercises which will take place, the balance and the smoothness, going around corners and controlling the car. At the end you will receive a certificate for finishing the course.

So this is a very good and quick way to either learn a bit more about driving if your not on P-Plates, or if your just starting out and you want have a more piece of mind on the road of yourself and the public.
